A Nice Day To Wear A Hand Knit Sweater

Today was such I nice day to wear a sweater that I wore my Victoria Sweater. No pictures as yet. Sunday is my knitting group meeting at the local Panera Bread and I will ask one of the ladies to take a few shots for me. It was warm and I love the way it fit. Still no buttons for it yet, but that's ok too. Not sure I would button it anyway. I see the new Knit Scene is out. It has some nice patterns from what I see. Will get a copy on Sunday when I stop by B&N. Nothing more to post right now. Trying to get my Pink Panters back completed. Almost finished, but the Adrift keeps calling me. I take it every were with me. I need to knit 2.5 inches and then I can start short row neck shaping. Can't wait. Will leave it home and just take the toe-up socks I started. That makes 3 projects and all is well with the world now. What will be finished first? This is what I want to happen: Adrift, Socks, and The Pink Panter last. The PP has to be finished by beginning of Fall. Adrift must be ready by June 4th shopping trip. That bus will have a chill on it and I won't freeze this year. Thats it for now.

Yarn

This is Louet Riverstone yarn. Can you guess the color? I'll give you a hint: Inspector Clouseau Almost finished with the back. This is such a pretty color. When it get finished the sweater is going to fit nice. For this sweater I have a boyfriends sweater feel to it. Roomy and comfortable as only a boyfriend can be. Will post some pictures soon.

More Victoria

This is what I call a record for me. Two post in less than 10hrs of each other. Not much to say, just wanted to post more pics of my Victoria Sweater. This sweater is not really finished it needs buttons. I purchased really nice glass buttons at Vogue Knitting in January when it came to NYC. The vendor only had 5 at that time so I purchased them believing she would send me the 4 extra I needed for my sweater and bill my credit card. That is what we agreed on, but she called to tell me my CC wouldn't go threw. Well, that can't be, I have used that one card for everything I purchased that day. I still have my 5 buttons and she still has not sent my other 4 buttons that I really want for my sweater. I did resend her my CC info again as she requested. She wants me to send a different CC and I won't do that. This CC is what I use for everything. These are the perfect buttons for this sweater. The buttons will cost more than the yarn. Love these buttons.

Just Pictures of my Finished Stuff

I named my next Victoria Sweater The Pink Panter after the yarn color. I'll be working on this while I work on other projects. Almost finished with the back.

Victoria Sweater

The Fern Fitted Shell. This was the first time I ever done bust shaping. I enjoyed learning that skill. A skill that will be needed alot more.

My next project will be this Adrift by Carol Feller. Really looking forward to making this. Going on a shopping trip in June and the bus will be too cold for me so I know this will work fine for that chill. Will be making long sleeves. The yarn is a lace weight merino wool in black. Can't wait to get started with this. Waiting on yarn. Patience has never been one of my strong points. Now, Now, Now, I want it NOW. My yarn is in the mail.

A long time since my last post. I've been very busy with work and knitting. Took a couple of classes too. Looking forward to the next Sheep and Wool Festival at Rhinebeck and Stitches East. This is all for now. The Pink Panter is calling me.

I Won! I Won!

I feel like I won the slots in Las Vegas today. I won the Addi Clicks from Ebay. My bid was the highest bid can you believe it. I can't wait to get them into my hands. I've been reading reviews for the past couple of days and will get to make my own test of these needles. So far I love everything about Addi needles. They are light weight and easy on the hands. I can say for sure that the knit picks are just a tad heavier to me. I could not live without either in my life. So winning this bid and just ordering a 12 piece set from Ebay was the icing on the cake for me. Like I said, you could never have to many knitting needles. I think I will take better care of this lot. I don't expect that I will be buying anymore needles in a very long time. I'm almost finish with swatching the gray cascade 220. It feels good and the size 7 needle knits up a nice feeling fabrics. Want to finish this up so I can get to the patten.

New Stuff

Look what I received in the mail today. My yarn from Webs online shop. They had a really good sale on Cascade 200. Not sure when I will start this blue sweater. I'm still planning on makeing the CPH sweater. I'll be using the gray cascade yarn I purchased at the end of March. Yes I'm still working on the summer top. It's going to take some work on my part to finish.

Well at least my socks are finished. They look really good too. Will be wearing them Monday to work.

It seems that I am still the lead winner for a new set of the Addi Clicks interchangeable needles. I will know tomorrow afternoon if I'm the winner.
I keep asking myself if I need any more needles. My answer is why not, you never have enough needles. I can truly attest to this as my Knit Pick needles keep disappearing on me. No matter how many extra needles I order I'm always missing the size needle I need for a project. Like now, I need size 7 and I can't find one pair from my knit pick set. Tomorrow can not get here soon enough for me.

Now I can get rid of these:
I don't know why I purchased these wood straights. I never use them and when I tried it was just a fight. Evey yarn I tried with them just would not move across them. That did tell me something, I'm a tight knitter. When I tried to use cotton yarn the stitches where loose on the needles. I didn't like the out come so I once again went back to my knit picks or addi needles. So, that was a great waste of money. I will win the best knitting needles in all the world.
